Staff accountant

An industry-leading organization specializing in advanced materials and high-performance solutions is currently undergoing a strategic expansion. A highly skilled Staff Accountant is needed to drive critical initiatives and contribute to continued global market presence.

salary: $85,000 - $105,000.01 per year

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with capital project owners to track and review capital expenditures and execute project completion.
• Prepare account reconciliations and record depreciation entries.
• Maintain fixed asset and software tracking in Sage, including asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
• Participate in CIP and fixed asset forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting entries for four entities using LeaseQuery.
• Create, modify, and maintain lease records for four entities in LeaseQuery.
• Prepare quarter-end lease reporting for DIVA reporting to Japan.
• Assist external auditors by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Support the preparation of financial statement footnotes.
• Prepare sales/use tax/property tax returns for several states.
• Coordinate with U.S. entities on income tax and transfer pricing-related requests from the CPA firm.
• Prepare sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings and tax returns.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare use tax accrual, depreciation and CIP transfer to fixed asset, CIP reconciliation, lease account reconciliation and other assigned ME and YE closing tasks.
