Located in the upscale Eixample District in the heart of Barcelona, Galderma's Global Capability Center offers numerous possibilities for professional development such as exposure to global and cross-functional projects and access to global career opportunities.At Galderma, we're looking for a hands-on Material Scientist to join a small, highly technical team where expertise, curiosity, and critical thinking truly matter.This role is ideal for someone who doesn't just study materials—but understands how they interact, behave, and impact real products in a regulated environment.Your ImpactYou will bring deep technical expertise to understand, characterize, and optimize materials, ensuring performance, compatibility, and scalability across our products and packaging systems.What You'll DoAnalyze and characterize materials and their chemical composition and behaviorUnderstand interactions between raw materials and packaging (tubes, bottles, etc.)Assess how supplier differences impact material performance and product qualityInvestigate material-related issues and drive practical, science-based solutionsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Product Science, MS&T, and QualityTranslate complex findings into clear technical documentation and presentationsWhat You BringMSc or PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, or related field3–8+ years in pharma, biotech, cosmetics, or injectable/aesthetic productsStrong expertise in material characterization and analytical techniquesDeep understanding of material interactions and applied science (not theoretical-only)Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsExcellent technical writing and presentation abilitiesApplied material science in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, aesthetics, cosmetics)Our people make a differenceAt Galderma, you'll work with people who are like you.
