Mental Health Coordinator - Independent Licensure Required

Licensed Mental Health Coordinator Compensation Information: $99,216 - $110,240 / year Department (Org): Mental Health The Mental Health Coordinator oversees mental health services in the facility, providing clinical and administrative supervision and direction to mental health staff. They also offer mental health services to inmate patients and consult with facility personnel, ensuring quality care for both staff and inmates. Key Responsibilities Plan, supervise, and manage clinical services provided by mental health staff and allocate resources to meet institutional needs. Provide clinical and administrative supervision and direction to mental health staff, including staff disciplinary counseling and performance evaluations. Provide mental health services to inmates in the facility and consult with facility personnel as needed. Coordinate with facility administrative staff and maintain confidentiality of inmate information. Develop and implement corrective steps necessary to ensure the provision of quality mental health care and notify supervisory personnel of significant clinical or administrative concerns. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science field. Experience Experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems. Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of management/supervision techniques, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders, and/or psychological evaluation techniques. Licenses/Certifications Licensed to practice psychology or social work in the State by the appropriate state licensing board. Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required. Additional Details Independent licensure required. On-call leadership experience required. Corrections a plus.
