Travel Therapy - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy seeks a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Salisbury, North Carolina. The position requires a valid state license, a master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology, a current Certificate of Clinical Competence, and experience in the field (new graduates are welcome). Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. Design and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance speech, language, and cognitive‑communication abilities. Use standardized assessments and clinical observation to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, including supportive counseling. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations. Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, and assist with equipment weighing 50‑100 pounds. Fine motor skills for manipulation and assistance during procedures and equipment use. Capacity to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and work with or without close supervision. Visual acuity and the ability to communicate effectively.
