Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.

At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation covering skills learned; all necessary resources are provided, and a score of 90% is required to pass.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient population. Ratios are 1:5-6; staff take a 1:6 assignment at least once a week. Heparin is the only titratable drip used. Telemetry is on the floor with a centralized tele station. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 on the floor. Nurse aides/patient care techs are available at a 1:10-12 ratio.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: as needed. Holiday requirement: as needed. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float to PCU or Burn.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
