About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 12 months Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Operating Room License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Trauma experience preferably in a Level I trauma center Description: Adult operating room experience is acceptable. First-time travelers are not accepted. Shift requirements include 4x10s from 7:00 to 17:30, with an option for 5x8s from 7:00 to 15:30. Call requirements are four shifts per six weeks. Certification requirements include BLS. Scrub experience is preferred. Level I trauma experience is preferred. Skillset requirements include trauma experience, preferably in a Level I trauma center. Surgery cases include general, urology, endo/laparoscopic, plastics, ENT, and neuro experience required. Minimum experience required is two years in a similar setting. Unit information consists of a Level I trauma center with various specialties including general surgery, orthopedic, trauma, and neurosurgery. Types of surgical procedures range from minor to very complex, including ECMO, burn procedures, tumor resections, and trauma procedures. The pediatric population includes neonates, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and some adults. Equipment used includes Stealth, DaVinci, and ROSA. Travelers are required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate locations. Working two out of three major holidays is mandatory. References are required upon submission.
