FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPER / FAMILY ASSISTANT

Private Family Residence in Greenwich, CT

We are looking for an experienced, professional and proactive full-time housekeeper to join our established household team on a long-term basis.

This is a busy family home with children and dogs, so we are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, highly organized, enjoys working collaboratively as part of a household team, and is fully comfortable with children, childcare responsibilities and dogs.

The right person should be comfortable with the pace and structure of a large family household and be looking for a stable, long-term position.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time, long-term position

Set weekly schedule totaling approximately 42 hours, including two regular days off each week (Thursday and Saturday)

Weekend hours are paid at a higher rate than weekday hours, and any additional hours are paid in accordance with Connecticut and federal overtime requirements.

Pay:  $45/ hr

•     Double pay on weekends

•     Overtime (1.5x) after 40 hours per week

Paid Time Off & Benefits

• 15 paid days off per year

Key Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and maintaining the home to a high standard

• Cleaning and care of bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces

• Laundry, ironing and clothing care, including for the children

• Maintaining presentation and cleanliness throughout the day

• Helping with childcare as needed, including during busy periods

• Helping with seasonal décor and decorating throughout the year

• Working collaboratively with the other housekeepers and household staff

• Communicating clearly with the family and other team members

• Being proactive and noticing what needs to be done without always requiring direction

• Flexibility around the normal day-to-day needs of a busy family household
