Hotel Bistro Server

The Courtyard by Marriott in Lincoln, Rhode Island is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro, the on-site restaurant at the hotel. The Bistro serves refreshing breakfast choices in the morning and a variety of dinner, beer, and wine options in the evening, and offers specialty beverages made with Starbucks® coffee. This hotel is one of the 50 properties owned and managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates, an award‑winning hotel management company. Responsibilities Welcoming guests, taking their orders, entering orders into the POS system, and receiving payment. Preparing food, coffee, and other beverages to meet company and brand standards, including alcohol, and having full knowledge of the entire menu. Setting up the bar for service, preparing drink orders for guests, following state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly, completing closing duties, and ensuring cleanliness of bar and cooler areas. Assisting in food and beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, washing dishes and utensils, resetting tables, delivering food to guests, and general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby. For success in this role, the following requirements are required: Previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is preferred; basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to understand and follow company concepts, practices, guidelines, and procedures related to guest service. Computer knowledge, including intranet, property management system, Word, and Excel. Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.
