About the Position

Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active South Carolina license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Must be able to stay within a 30-minute response time for call shifts. - First-time travelers accepted. - Must be open to floating between like units as needed. Description: The position is for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse. The work shift will run from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. In the procedure suite, the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. In preoperative and discharge areas, the ratio can be 4:1. Weekend shifts are required every third weekend. Weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There may also be some weekday on-call duties required from Monday through Thursday. Candidates should have experience with airway management, assisting in procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs. The role involves circulating, scrubbing, and recovering patients under monitored anesthesia care. Special equipment includes Olympus scopes and gastro imaging software. The unit serves adults and geriatric patients, with an average daily census of 15. Clinical teams will include physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is essential for candidates to have all necessary licenses in place prior to starting. Please ensure all requested time off is included at the time of submission.
