POSITION EXPECTATIONS

1. Completes required Orientation and Training modules.
2. Demonstrates a working knowledge of information in the EE Handbook.
3. Demonstrates a working knowledge of information in the Student-Parent Handbook.  
4. Studies the Behavioral Improvement Plans (BIPs) of each student.
5. Establishes positive and effective relationships quickly with students and staff.
6. Exhibits an understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries.
7. Works with SRCs, RC2s and RC1s to implement meaningful activities for students.  
8. Practices using de-escalation skills, approved interventions and consequences.
9. Works with students to ensure campus areas are clean, orderly and presentable.

10. Responds positively to a supervisor's reasonable request to perform other duties. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or more.
• Strong communication skills: Listening, Speaking and De-escalation.
• Basic CPR & First Aid certified before employment or during first few weeks.
• Must also successfully complete LRA’s Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training.
• Able to pass a thorough background screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to safely manage student behaviors.
• Able to run for short periods, keeping a potential AWOL student in sight.
• Able to safely perform physical restraints (once trained) as part of a team.
