Director of Nursing (DON)

Pay: $100-120K (based on experience)

Location: South Austin, TX 78748

Hours: Monday - Friday 7/7:30 am - 5 pm, (no nights, weekends, or on-call)

Summary:
Lead the nursing team for a Surgery Center in South Austin. Oversee a team of 12 nurses and ensure smooth daily operations across pre-op, post-op, and PACU/perioperative care. This is a leadership role with a strong clinical presence (approximately 75% hands-on / 25% administrative), including staff scheduling, team coordination, staff meetings, and supply ordering.

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license (must be active with no restrictions); compact license acceptable
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Nursing leadership experience required
• Experience in pre-op / post-op / PACU or perioperative care
• Ability to lead a team of nurses and support efficient day-to-day operations

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and support for pre-operative, post-operative, PACU, and/or perioperative nursing care
• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations for the Surgery Center
• Manage scheduling for the nursing team to support surgeries and coverage needs
• Coordinate and facilitate staff meetings
• Support supply ordering and ensure needed materials are available for patient care
• Maintain a high standard of patient care while balancing hands-on nursing duties and administrative responsibilities
