2026 SEASONAL City Parks Groundkeepers and Highway Maintenance Crew Members

Description

Learn new skills and enhance existing ones working full time for up to 6 months.

Must have a valid driver's license and be a HS graduate or possess a GED.

Parks Grounds Keeper: $12.85-$18.00/hour based on experience

• Park, landscape, playground, building & trail maintenance, athletic fields, painting, cleaning, shoveling, and raking, special events and other related duties.

Storm Water Crew Member: $12.85-$18.00/hour based on experience

• Assist in installation of drainage pipes, concrete/asphalt work, flag traffic/set up work zones and other related duties.

Road Maintenance Crew Member: $12.85-$20.90/hour based on experience

• Hauling material; dirt, stone, asphalt; shoveling, raking; litter, tree & brush removal, mowing, flagging traffic, operate equipment and other related duties. Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license and remain insurable.
• Positions requiring a class B CDL will be paid $14.90 - $20.90 based on experience.

Requirements

Completion of secondary (high school or GED) and be 18 years old. Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license, qualify and remain insurable under the City's vehicle insurance policy. Any combination of training and work experience indicating possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed may be considered.

Positions requiring a CDL, must possess a valid State of Ohio Class A or B commercial driver's license, and qualify for and remain insurable under the City's vehicle insurance policy.
