Contract Recruiter

We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to support high-priority hiring initiatives over a six-month engagement. This role will partner closely with hiring managers and People leadership to deliver a thoughtful, inclusive, and efficient hiring experience. Candidates with experience recruiting in sustainability, climate, or mission-driven organizations are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles, from intake through offer and close.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles.
• Proactively source and engage diverse talent using multiple channels (Lever, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).
• Screen and interview candidates, ensuring alignment with role requirements and organizational values.
• Manage candidate experience with clear, timely, and respectful communication.
• Track and report on hiring progress, pipeline health, and key metrics.
• Support employer branding efforts and continuous improvement of recruiting processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
• Strong sourcing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and meet tight timelines.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with ATS platforms and recruiting tools.
• Ability to work East Coast hours.

Nice to Have

• Experience recruiting technical, operations, or leadership roles.
• Background in startups, nonprofits, or purpose-driven companies.
• Familiarity with inclusive hiring practices and DEI-focused recruiting strategies.
• Experience recruiting for sustainability, climate, environmental, or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Additional Information:

If you live in or near New York City, our NYC head office is at 1460 Broadway, with 3 days/week in the office.
