Position Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users in a professional, customer-focused environment. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop hardware, software, and related technology systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for end users experiencing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application, and workstation-related problems.
• Support hardware replacements, upgrades, and equipment deployments.
• Respond to and document support requests through a ticket management system.
• Assist users with account access, software functionality, and general technology-related issues.
• Perform equipment setup, configuration, imaging, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and coordinate escalations when required.
• Support printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop, technical, or end-user support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills relating to hardware, software, and workstation issues.
• Experience configuring, installing, and supporting desktop and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with operating systems, productivity applications, and common business technologies.
• Experience working with service request or incident management systems.
• Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting concepts.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced support environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise technology environments.
• Familiarity with device deployment, migration, and lifecycle management processes.
• Experience with user account administration and access management.
• Industry-recognized technical certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in customer-facing technical support roles.

Work Environment

• Fully onsite position.
• Direct interaction with end users throughout the workday.
• Collaborative and service-oriented team environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
