About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry – Tennessee

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend required (subject to change based on unit needs). Floating to similar units based on skill set may be required.

Highlights:

• 30-bed unit with daily census of 15-20 patients; patient ratio of 1:6
• EMR system: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required); medication system: Omnicell
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diverse medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Teaching and community hospital environment offering varied clinical experience
• Orientation provided on Mondays; pre-assignment modules eligible for reimbursement (up to 16 hours)

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact license
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med-Surg or Telemetry specialty
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Teaching and community hospital experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Core clinical skills including IV management, central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, feeding tube care, colostomy/ileostomy management, and orthopedic trauma care
