Village Caregiving In-Home Caregiver Position

Village Caregiving is looking to hire responsible, dedicated in-home caregivers to help veterans and the elderly with activities of daily living.

We have an immediate need for caregivers in and around the Xenia, Ohio area! We are looking for someone with a minimum of one year caregiving experience in a professional setting and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities include helping clients take prescribed medication, assisting clients with ambulation and mobility, assisting clients with personal care and hygiene, helping clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises, doing the client’s shopping or accompanying them when they shop if needed, performing light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals, collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members, reporting any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members, and acting quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

Requirements include previous caregiver experience preferred but not required, current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification, willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints, must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner, outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills, physical endurance to complete required tasks, and high school diploma or equivalent.
