Urologic Oncologist

Job Overview Providence Specialty Medical Group in Santa Monica, California is seeking a Urologic Oncologist. The role is ideal for an academic, robotic‑trained Urologist with experience in training residents or fellows, leading clinical trials, and guiding translational research. Clinical responsibilities include treating general urology conditions such as BPH, nephrolithiasis, reconstruction, and performing office procedures like cystoscopy, bladder biopsy, prostate biopsy, and stent removal. The 16‑OR hospital houses two MP robots and one SP, while the ASC has one MP. The department supports clinical and translational research and offers access to a PA/NP and experienced urologic cancer clinic team. Responsibilities & Scope – Deliver outpatient care (80% outpatient, 20% inpatient).

• Conduct research: grant applications, clinical trials, publications, and investigator‑initiated outcomes research.
• Participate in translational collaboration with scientists at Saint John’s Cancer Institute and Providence affiliates in Portland and Seattle.
• Manage a weekly schedule of 2 clinic days, 2 OR days, and 1 research/administration day; handle 20–40 patients per clinic day.
