Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations—either complete or focused—of pediatric patients presenting with acute or chronic health issues.
• Devise individualized treatment plans based on the findings from diagnostic and screening tests, which you will order, perform, and interpret.
• Coordinate care by referring patients to appropriate healthcare professionals and specialized services, such as physical therapists, nutritionists, and mental health counselors as necessary.
• Prepare and implement in-school management plans for students, tailored to their specific healthcare needs.
• Make actionable recommendations regarding diet, physical activity, health education, and wellness promotion, ensuring adherence to APRN guidelines.
• Engage in health promotion activities, educating families about developmental milestones, routine screenings, and immunizations.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in accordance with medical record-keeping standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and share insights on improving pediatric care practices within the school.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and have completed an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
• Certification from recognized bodies, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in pediatric healthcare or a closely related field.
• Experience within an educational setting or school health environment is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 126,000 to 150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and relocation assistance to support your transition to our team.
