NP - Pediatrics

Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

ECU Health Physicians, ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital, and ECU Health North Hospital are expanding and seeking an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their regional newborn hospitalist program located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. PNP-AC & NNP new graduates are encouraged to apply. ECU Health Children's Hospital is the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed especially for pediatric patients and includes ECMO and pediatric surgery programs. • Growing 9-hospital physician-led healthcare system
• Schedule includes (12)- 24 hour unrestricted call shifts at a regional facility and 16 days off per month
• Clinical responsibilities when providing coverage at ECU Health North Hospital will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients and attendance all at risk deliveries and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
• Provider will return to Maynard Children Hospital quarterly for continued competency and skills maintenance with the newborn and NICU teams
• Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center
• PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required

Job Requirements include:

• PNP-AC, NNP or Physician Assistant- (At least 2 years of NICU Experience for PA)
• NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
• National Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC, Neonatal NP or as PA required, including maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in health care setting
• Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
