The ideal candidate will provide instruction to students with special needs and identified learning disabilities in a special education program, tutor individual and small groups of students, and reinforce language and reading concepts. Responsibilities Provide instruction to students with special needs and identified learning disabilities in a special education program. Targeted tutoring of individual and small groups, reinforcing language and reading concepts. Administer and score individual and group tests. Schedule and conduct IEP meetings, coordinating schedules with parents, general education teachers, administrators, and all appropriate special education staff. Communicate and coordinate special needs evaluation and testing with the speech teacher, psychologist, and other service providers, as well as with parents regarding individual student progress and conduct. Record and maintain progress records and progress toward IEP goals. Support other academic programs offered within the independent study program. Perform other duties in support of the Special Education Specialist program. Qualifications BA/BS Degree. California Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate) with English Language Authorization (ELA) and Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization (AAAS). Intern‑eligible status (preferred). Salary Range $81,000 – $115,000 – Depending on experience. Intern Range: $81,000 – $91,000. Benefits Paid time off, holiday and sick time.
