Med Surg RN

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialties in Medical/Surgical to provide skilled nursing care, case management, and treatment planning to patients. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing specialty.
• Experience working in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Special Considerations:

• Expectations to meet low/mid/high performance standards; contract may be terminated if standards are not met.
• Work environment includes hospital medical-surgical units.

Scheduling:

• Shift assignments and schedules determined by facility needs; may include day, evening, or night shifts.
