Breakaway Prep is a boutique tutoring and test prep company based in Chatham, NJ, with offices in Summit, Millburn, Maplewood, Livingston, Morristown, Westfield, Berkeley Heights, and Montclair. We primarily work with students in grades 7–12, providing instruction for the SAT, ACT, ISEE/SSAT, AP exams, as well as specific academic subjects. Responsibilities:
1. 1+ years of experience tutoring or teaching English (Honors or AP experience preferred) 2. Bachelor's Degree 3. Has reliable transportation 4. Passion for teaching middle and high school students and strong social skills 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 6. Multiple positive references 7. Experience with SAT and/or ACT test preparation preferred (training provided for strong candidates). 8. Ability to pass a background check Please note: Selected candidates may be asked to complete a brief online skills assessment for SAT/ACT English and Reading to demonstrate subject mastery.
