As a Demand Planner specializing in Demand Planning in manufacturing you will play a critical role in aligning production schedules with customer demand, ensuring timely assembly and delivery of products. You will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and support Siemens’ commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & Planning Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer forecasts to develop accurate demand plans. Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to validate and adjust forecasts. Maintain and improve forecasting models using SAP and other planning tools. Assembly Scheduling Translate demand plans into executable assembly schedules. Coordinate with production teams to ensure capacity alignment and timely execution. Monitor and adjust schedules based on material availability, labor constraints, and priority changes. Inventory & Material Management Ensure optimal inventory levels to support assembly operations while minimizing excess. Work closely with procurement to manage component availability and lead times. Identify and resolve material shortages or delays impacting production. Cross-functional Collaboration Serve as the liaison between planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Support digitalization and automation efforts within the planning process. Reporting & Analytics Generate KPIs and dashboards to track forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory health. Provide insights and recommendations to improve planning efficiency and responsiveness. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business. 3 plus years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel. Experience with ERP (PP/MM modules), SAP and/or other planning tools (e.g., APO, IBP). Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications BS in Supply Chain Management CPIM/CSCP Certifications Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
