The organization is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU/Surgical ICU). This role supports critically ill patients with care that may include high-acuity post-operative cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities
• Responsibilities: Provide bedside critical care nursing for ICU and post-operative patients, including trauma patients; Assist with procedures and therapies commonly performed in an ICU setting, including chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
• Additional Information: Patient ratios are estimated at 1:2 and 1:1 for high acuity (including post CABG patients); equipment may include balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), hypothermia, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); electronic medical record documentation uses Meditech
