Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT and X-ray experience for a 13-week travel assignment in North Adams, MA, requiring previous travel experience.

Job Details

• Primarily CT Scan position with X-ray responsibilities also required,
• Performs primary diagnostic radiology and CT scan tasks, including IV insertion and contrast injections,
• Uses PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and CT systems; Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred,
• Mix of overnight and day shifts on a varied schedule,
• Holiday coverage required as needed,
• On-call requirements to be determined,
• May be required to perform other duties within scope of practice during low census periods,
• May float within the department or assume supervisory/instructional responsibilities as directed by Lead Technologist or management,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current CT and X-ray experience required,
• Previous travel assignment experience required (at least 6 months),
• Prior agency travel experience required (at least 6 months to 1 year); first-time agency travelers will not be considered,
• Active ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography (R) required,
• Active AHA BLS required,
• Massachusetts Radiology License required if applicable,
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment,
• Must not be working a concurrent per diem or PRN assignment,
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Performs a wide variety of technical imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking,
• Responsible for proper patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures,
• Must demonstrate proficiency with PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and CT applications including troubleshooting,
• Maintains infection control practices in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required,
• All RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and requests made after an offer is extended will not be approved,
• Candidates may not request block scheduling or other schedule accommodations,
• Candidates may not work this assignment concurrently with another permanent or travel placement
