Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Tech for a day shift contract requiring RRT certification and 2+ years of experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Details

• Day shift schedule (0630-1900), three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
• 15-week contract length
• No guarantee of hours
• Cares for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Uses computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current RRT certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS with NRP preferred
• Active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start

Additional Information

• Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support
• Consult with physicians and perform CPR and all aspects of respiratory care
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for clearance appointment, including flu vaccination if needed
• Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii before a Monday start to report to Employee Health the preceding Friday morning
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
