• Position: Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner – Locum Tenens

• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of cardiothoracic surgery or related advanced practice experience required
• Board Certified required
• Nebraska Nurse Practitioner license required, or IMLC with LOQ in hand
• Must be proficient in operating room first assist duties
• Vein harvesting experience required
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Availability at time of name clear required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room for cardiothoracic surgery cases
• Perform vein harvesting as part of surgical support duties
• Provide night call coverage, including phone support and emergent OR cases
• Support the surgical team in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and OR staff to maintain smooth workflow
• Respond to urgent clinical needs related to cardiothoracic procedures
