Resident Caregiver

Supervisor's Title: Director of Health Services Position Summary Provides high-quality, person-centered assistance with activities of daily living and related services essential to resident comfort, dignity, and independence. Essential Job Functions Assist with ADLs (bathing, grooming, shaving, incontinence care, foot care); complete height/weight checks; make beds and manage linens per schedule; complete personal laundry. Assist with mealtime, including cutting food, encouragement, and feeding as needed; utilize life-enrichment approaches. Maintain calm environment; complete assignments timely; report status changes; review special-needs communications each shift; provide activities as directed; document status; respond to call lights and emergencies; provide emergency care within scope; uphold policies. Hospitality Standards Greet residents, employees, and guests warmly—by name and with a smile. Treat everyone with courtesy and respect; embrace and value our differences. Anticipate needs and act proactively; listen and respond promptly and enthusiastically. Hold ourselves and one another accountable; maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance. Pay attention to details; ask, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" Education High school diploma preferred. Experience One (1) year as CNA/PCA/RA preferred; one (1) year in assisted living/healthcare preferred. Knowledge/Skills Availability for emergencies; English proficiency for resident communication. Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/ activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling). Special Requirements Medical clearance per policy. Tools & Equipment Medical assessment tools; washer/dryer; office equipment. Physical Activities Lift/carry up to 100 lbs.; push/pull up to 100 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist occasionally; sit ~2 hrs; stand/walk ~6 hrs per 8-hr day.
