The facility operates as a correctional center delivering outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population within a secure clinical environment. The facility maintains established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery to support consistent care throughout the assignment period. Clinical workflows are structured to address the primary and chronic care needs of the population served.

The assignment area is located approximately one hour from Seattle, placing clinicians within reach of a broad range of attractions and outdoor destinations. Seattle-area highlights include Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Sky View Observatory, and the Museum of Flight. Day trips to destinations such as Bainbridge Island, Whidbey Island, and Snoqualmie Pass are accessible within roughly an hour, and Mount Rainier National Park is reachable within approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, providing options for hiking, ferry rides, and scenic drives throughout the assignment period.

Clinicians will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population on a day shift basis at an on-site correctional facility, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected caseload is 8-16 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing injury management, acute illness treatment, follow-up visits, physicals, complicated chronic care management, urgent care, and minor procedures within a structured correctional environment. Required credentials include Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board eligibility or certification (GPs not accepted), BLS, a valid state NP license, DEA registration, COVID vaccination, and prescriptive authority. Familiarity with sutures and injections is preferred, as is previous Department of Corrections experience, though neither is required; credentialing is estimated at 1-2 weeks.
