The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods within a small logistics team. Reporting directly to the Account Executive - Freight Broker, this role focuses on coordinating domestic shipments and supporting efficient transport planning through meticulous inventory and order management.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels to align with shipment schedules
- Schedule and coordinate domestic shipments effectively
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and supply chain continuity
- Track orders from initiation through delivery for accuracy and timeliness
- Plan transport logistics to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
- Enter and maintain accurate logistics data within designated software systems
- Resolve operational issues to avoid shipment delays or discrepancies
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Time management expertise
