Kinston Country Club is seeking an experienced, dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing quality food, works well in a busy kitchen, and helps provide an excellent dining experience for our members and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to club recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

• Set up and stock cooking stations before each shift.

• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely.

• Complete daily food preparation, including cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning proteins.

• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to deliver accurate orders promptly.

• Assist with food preparation and service for banquets, tournaments, holidays, and special events.

• Follow food safety procedures, including proper cooking temperatures, storage, labeling, and rotation.

• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized.

• Monitor supplies and communicate shortages to kitchen leadership.

• Control waste and assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience in a restaurant, country club, hotel, or similar kitchen required.

• Ability to work multiple stations and handle busy service periods.

• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

• Reliable attendance and attention to detail.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled club events.

• Ability to perform kitchen duties that involve standing for extended periods and lifting supplies, with reasonable accommodation as needed.

• Food safety certification preferred.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
