Safety Manager

The Safety Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving site-level safety, environmental, and compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. This role drives a proactive safety culture through engagement, accountability, and operational ownership, ensuring alignment with world-class safety standards and regulatory requirements. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of facility safety programs, processes, and guidelines. Drive a strong safety culture through employee engagement, accountability, and ownership at all organizational levels. Design, implement, and maintain environmental management systems to monitor and mitigate operational environmental impacts. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. Conduct routine safety audits and inspections; investigate non-compliance and implement corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the site Emergency Response Coordinator; lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development in coordination with external emergency services as required. Facilitate safety training, education, and communication to integrate safety into daily operations and business processes. Lead and support site Safety Team activities and initiatives. Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics; lead efforts to achieve and sustain defined safety KPIs. Conduct safety compliance evaluations specific to site operations and processes. Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and support property insurance risk mitigation efforts. Maintain responsibility for the site Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) program, including planning, training, and execution. Support compliance and safety oversight related to onsite wastewater treatment operations. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure safety alignment. Maintain oversight of safety compliance across all shifts, including off-shift operations. Participate in continuous professional development through safety training, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
