We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to provide financial leadership for manufacturing operations in East Windsor, New Jersey. This role is responsible for guiding plant-level accounting, strengthening financial controls, and delivering meaningful analysis that supports operational and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cost accounting, forecasting, inventory oversight, and capital tracking within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the monthly financial close for plant operations, including review of production activity, analysis of manufacturing variances, and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.

• Develop annual budgets and regular forecasts while delivering timely financial reports and performance insights to plant leadership and corporate stakeholders.

• Maintain product costing and standard cost models, and evaluate cost movements to explain operational results and support profitability improvements.

• Oversee accounting and control activities related to inventory and fixed assets, including count programs, reconciliations, and financial accuracy of recorded balances.

• Administer capital investment tracking through plant systems, support the capital approval workflow, and help ensure the reliability of recorded project amounts.

• Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to assess plant performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial visibility across the site.

• Contribute to system-related support and plant process enhancements that improve reporting quality, internal controls, and overall accounting efficiency.

• Lead or assist with special projects aimed at strengthening compliance, streamlining workflows, and advancing cost management practices.

• 7+ years of experience in plant finance or manufacturing accounting roles.
• Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a production environment.
• Solid knowledge of inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly.
• Experience working with enterprise systems in a manufacturing setting; JD Edwards experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with capital investment management tools and processes is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively and provide sound recommendations to operational leadership.
