Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN requiring NC or compact RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications for a 13-week assignment also covering PCU/stepdown.

Details

• ICU unit with cross-coverage in PCU/stepdown as needed
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Floating within the hospital required as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two professional references required, completed within the last two years by a supervisor
• Copy of Nursys license verification required, pulled within the last 7 days
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required, with exemption documentation if applicable
• Skills required include IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and cardiac dysrhythmia management

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction, post-cardiac surgery, CVA/stroke, and renal failure requiring CRRT/CVVHD

• Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate for those within 50 miles
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year and in good standing to be considered for return, and must not be local
