We are looking for a certified Group Fitness Instructor who loves what they do and also knows that a group exercise class can engage a member like nothing else! What is needed for this job as our Group Fitness Instructor:

• 18+ years of age and high school diploma or equivalent
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Group Fitness Instructor:

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction
• Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents
