Position Type: Transportation/ Bus Driver Date Posted: 6/3/2026 Location: HCISD Job Posting for all individuals interested in applying for Bus Driver. Individuals can apply here for current and/or anticipated Bus Driver vacancies. PRIMARY PURPOSE Safely transport students and school personnel to and from authorized campuses and final destinations. Periodically transport students and school personnel to and from extra‑curricular activities. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement. (CDL REQUIRED) Valid Enrollment Certificate or Texas School Bus Driver Certification. Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Medical Examination Special knowledge/Skills Ability to pass alcohol and drug test. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to adjust and deviate from route description when traffic and /or weather conditions justify such actions. Ability to communicate effectively and use a 2‑way radio. Ability to manage student behavior. No previous experience is necessary. REQUIRED Background (police) check will be conducted.
