Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification.

Details

• Work in the Maternity/Labor and Delivery department of a hospital setting
• Full-time night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Occasional weekend shifts required
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or compact) currently in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS/BCLS, PALS, and C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
• Notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes and implement physician orders
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions
• Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment focused on patient and family-centered care
