Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical EngineerManage BOM & drawing changes through a standard revision/Engineering Change OrderDesign and develop parts and assemblies using SolidWorks. Create models, assembly drawings, & manufacturing/fabrication drawings.Gather detailed information on vendor supplied components and create vendor control drawings.Prepare any additional mechanical support needed for projects such as welding/machining fixtures, layout drawings, field installation procedures, and any other pertinent documentation.Convert legacy drawings from AutoCAD to SolidWorks.Develop subject matter expertise on assigned product line.Check and review drawings and documents for accuracy and errors, ensuring designs and drawings are functional and manufacturable.Capture meeting minutes and other notes from customer interaction to document needs of customer and changes during project.Work with little direction and supports the project team in the successful completion of multiple projects.Actively participate in RCI to drive improvements for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, in support of company goals/objectives and to exceed customers' expectations.Properly track costs, including personal time and spend, to keep budgets and notify proper resources of expanded costs.Document sources and history of design development throughout the project.Assist in the shop and installation support work as needed.
