Trading System Engineer

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Trading System Engineer with expertise in Linux and Python to join an technology‑driven trading team. You will be responsible for the deployment, support, automation, and optimization of high‑performance trading systems, working closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability, low‑latency execution, and continuous availability. Responsibilities Monitor, deploy, and support sophisticated trading systems in a Linux‑based production environment, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents, including software, hardware, network, and market‑data issues. Automate operational processes, configuration management, and software deployment using Python and shell scripting. Collaborate with traders, developers, and external partners (e.g., exchanges, clearing firms) to address technical issues and implement new trading strategies. Proactively identify system bottlenecks, performance issues, and implement lasting solutions. Develop and maintain monitoring tools, dashboards, and reports for system health and trading activity. Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide out‑of‑hours support as required to maintain 24/7 trading operations. Qualifications Hands‑on experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Programming skills in Python, with experience in developing automation tools and scripts. Familiarity with trading systems, financial market data, and low‑latency environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of networking protocols and system monitoring tools. Problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications Exposure to financial exchanges, FIX protocols, or market connectivity is a plus.
