A Fortune 300 global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Manager, External Reporting to join its Corporate Finance & Accounting team. This is a high-visibility opportunity to play a key role in technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial policies, and external communications while partnering with finance and operational leaders across a highly diversified global business.

The Senior Manager will report directly to the Director, External Reporting and have meaningful exposure to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization. This is also viewed as a strong developmental opportunity for someone looking to expand their leadership capabilities and progress into broader finance leadership roles over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of the Company's SEC filings, external financial communications, annual reports, earnings releases, and related disclosures.
• Monitor new accounting and reporting requirements and lead the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to corporate and business-unit finance teams on complex accounting matters.
• Prepare quarterly accounting and regulatory updates for senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Partner with Investor Relations and financial reporting teams on external financial communications and disclosures.
• Develop, maintain, and implement company-wide financial accounting policies and procedures.
• Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors on technical accounting, internal controls, financial policies, and SEC reporting matters.
• Oversee key accounting and reporting areas, including impairment testing, lease accounting, and the consolidated statement of cash flows.
• Lead and develop team members while supporting broader talent management, development, and retention initiatives.
• Participate in and lead Corporate Finance & Accounting projects focused on improving the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and close processes.
• Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational leaders across a large, diversified global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA required.
• 11+ years of progressive accounting experience, including recent Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Experience directly managing, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects and work effectively across multiple business units.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative corporate environment.
• This role requires a consistent on-site presence.
