Planning Specialist

Planning SpecialistOur client, a leading global luxury fashion business, is looking for a Planning Specialist to join its Americas team. This role will support seasonal and in-season planning, sales forecasting, inventory management, reporting, and business analysis.Working closely with Planning, Merchandising, Retail, Finance, and Logistics, the Planning Specialist will turn sales and inventory data into actionable insights that support commercial decision-making and business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport annual, seasonal, monthly, and weekly sales and inventory planning across the Americas.Maintain and update forecasts based on sales performance, trends, inventory levels, and business priorities.Analyze sales, inventory, sell-through, stock-to-sales, weeks of supply, and other key retail KPIs.Identify risks and opportunities across sales, product performance, and inventory, providing clear recommendations.Support seasonal planning, Open-to-Buy, buying decisions, launches, and key commercial initiatives.Monitor inventory availability, stock levels, replenishment, transfers, and potential excess or shortages.Prepare weekly and monthly business recaps, dashboards, and reporting for senior stakeholders.Partner with Merchandising, Retail, Finance, Logistics, and Global/HQ teams to align commercial and inventory plans.Conduct ad hoc analysis to support evolving business priorities.Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.3+ years' experience in merchandise planning, retail planning, financial planning, business analysis, or a similar analytical role.Experience within luxury, fashion, retail, or a product-driven consumer business strongly preferred.Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical/quantitative capabilities.Strong understanding of retail KPIs, forecasting, inventory management, and product performance.Highly organized, commercially minded, and detail-oriented.Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear business recommendations.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.The role also offers an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, paid parental leave, paid time off, employee discounts, and retirement contributions.Working Pattern: 4 days per week on-site in Manhattan, New York.
