Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (Med Surg RN) in the Nights shift at a critical access healthcare facility located in Whitehall, WI. This position involves providing comprehensive medical-surgical care to acute medical patients, including those from emergency departments and transitional care rehabilitation stays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour Night shifts, from 1845 to 0715, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, 2 or more years of Med/Surg experience, and experience with charting in EPIC preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Holiday Rotation Requirements: Includes nights of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, with every third weekend.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit comprises 25 beds serving general medical, continued recovery, and infusion patients.
  • Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6, supported by good Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) coverage of 1:4 to 1:7.
  • Navy blue scrubs are required, with specific color combinations advised.
  • Contract duration is 13 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026, ending on 12/27/2026.
  • Orientation includes 8 hours of unbillable training; medical portion of compliance must begin within 48 hours of acceptance.
