About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (PACU Boarders)

Location

Philadelphia, PA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (0700–1930) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Monday through Saturday (no Sundays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU boarder patients housed within the PACU unit, with an expected patient population of trauma overflow
• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans under the direction of a licensed physician
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and individualize patient care
• Direct and supervise nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies
• Float to the ED for ICU holds or to other ICU/step-down units based on census and unit need

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU or relevant clinical specialty area
• Previous trauma nursing experience (not required but beneficial)
