Data Warehouse Analyst (Intermediate) – Power BIThe Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking an experienced Intermediate Data Warehouse Analyst / Power BI Developer to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives. The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and data solutions integrated with Snowflake data warehouse environments.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, Snowflake, dimensional data modeling, and enterprise business intelligence reporting. This role requires the ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions while collaborating with data engineering and business teams.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.Build and optimize Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling techniques.Develop advanced DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and business logic.Create and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports and Report Builder solutions.Develop complex SQL queries using: Common Table Expressions (CTEs)Window FunctionsAnalytical FunctionsQuery Optimization techniquesIntegrate Power BI solutions with Snowflake data warehouse environments.Collaborate with data engineers to optimize Snowflake tables, views, and data structures.Perform Power BI dataset optimization and report performance tuning.Design efficient star schema models with fact and dimension tables.Support metadata management, data lineage, and documentation efforts.Troubleshoot Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake performance issues.Develop reports based on business requirements and stakeholder needs.Ensure data accuracy, usability, and scalability of reporting solutions.Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).Minimum 5+ years of Business Intelligence / Data Analytics experience.Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.Strong experience developing enterprise reporting solutions using: Microsoft Power BIPower BI ServicePower BI Report BuilderPower BI Semantic ModelsPower QueryDAXPaginated ReportsStrong SQL development skills with experience in: Complex SQL queriesCTEsWindow FunctionsAnalytical QueriesQuery Performance TuningStrong understanding of: Data Warehouse ConceptsStar Schema DesignFact and Dimension ModelingDimensional Data ModelingSemantic Layer DevelopmentHands-on experience with Snowflake, including: Performance OptimizationWarehouse SizingCompute OptimizationClustering KeysCost OptimizationRBAC SecurityData GovernanceExperience integrating Power BI with Snowflake.Experience with metadata management and data lineage concepts.Experience embedding Power BI reports into applications or internal portals.Strong communication and analytical skills.
