Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: General Medical ICU experience Sepsis management Targeted temperature management Manual proning for intubated patients Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and PCI care, both radial and groin approach Post-TPA infusion management for stroke Ability to titrate drips such as Levophed, propofol, heparin, vasopressin, phenylephrine, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, dexmedetomidine, furosemide, dopamine, dobutamine Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The unit consists of 16 beds with ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in stepdown. Nurses will be required to float as needed based on departmental needs. The ICU nurse assignment expectation is a maximum of 3 patients. A charge nurse is dedicated to the department, and a house supervisor is available. A hospitalist is in-house 24/7, while an intensivist is available remotely, with the potential for on-site visits if needed. Respiratory Therapy services are provided 24/7, including equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP. Monitor technicians are present, and nurses will read strips. Shifts are scheduled from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required. The hospital operates under a cancellation policy that allows for up to 3 cancellations per contract. The variety of patients and collaborative environment promotes excellent teamwork and a wide range of skills. The hospital is situated in a region known for its outdoor activities. Candidates must possess the required certifications and have the ability to manage critically ill patients effectively.
