Our New York City office is seeking a motivated Assistant Transportation Engineer to join our team working on diverse public and private infrastructure projects for NYC and State agencies.ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Transportation Engineer will:Geometric design of intersections, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant elementsDEP system design and private utility coordinationUtility conflict identification, resolution, and relocation supportDesign of flood protection infrastructureGrading, drainage, pavement markings, and signageSignals and street lighting system designMaintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / construction stagingPreparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and specificationsCoordination with NYCDCC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, MTA, NYC Parks, Private Utility companies, and other agencies/stakeholdersParticipation in public outreach, community board meetings, and client/agency presentationsField work includes data collection, surveys, and construction observationConstruction support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and change order evaluationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited collegeProficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience a plus)Detail-oriented with excellent communication and technical writing skills0-4 years experienceCertifications/Licenses:EIT Certification PreferredCompensation & BenefitsThe pay range for this position in New York City is $75,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
