Reporting directly to the CFO, this role leads month-end close activities, prepares accurate financial reporting, and supports budgeting and forecasting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare accounting standards. The ideal candidate partners closely with Finance, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.What You'll OwnFinancial Reporting & General LedgerPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysesLead assigned portions of the month-end and year-end close process while meeting established deadlinesResearch and resolve account discrepancies and unusual financial variancesPrepare supporting schedules and workpapers for financial reportingFinancial AnalysisAnalyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesPrepare financial analyses and reports for senior leadershipMonitor key balance sheet and income statement accountsSupport special projects and ad hoc financial analysesHealthcare AccountingPartner with Revenue Cycle, Billing, and Clinical Operations to ensure accurate recording of healthcare revenueAnalyze patient revenue, collections, reimbursements, and related financial activitySupport reconciliation of insurance reimbursements and revenue recognition processesMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation recordsPayroll & Operational SupportAssist with bi-weekly payroll review, reconciliations, and financial analysisMonitor payroll-related general ledger activitySupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededCollaborate cross-functionally to improve financial workflows and internal controlsCompliance & AuditEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirementsPrepare documentation for internal and external auditsAssist with annual financial audits and tax-related requestsMaintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvementSupport implementation of accounting process improvements and automation initiativesParticipate in finance projects related to company growth and acquisitionsWhat We're Looking For Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAPAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis)Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating across departmentsPreferred QualificationsCPA certification or active pursuit of CPAHealthcare industry accounting experienceExperience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platformsExperience supporting audits and financial planning activitiesExperience in a multi-site or high-growth organizationWhat Success Looks LikeMonth-end and year-end close is completed accurately and on scheduleFinancial statements and reporting are reliable enough to drive leadership decisionsHealthcare revenue, reimbursements, and payroll activity are accurately reflected in the GLAudits and compliance reviews proceed smoothly with well-organized documentationCross-functional partners view Finance as a responsive, trustworthy partnerCompensation The expected salary range for this position is $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
