Warehouse Clerk - Hospital Food Service | Location: Clovis, CA 93611

Compensation: $23.50 per hour| Full-Time

Schedule: Mornings—specific details to be discussed during interview.

Job Summary

You'll help ensure our kitchen has the fresh ingredients, supplies, and organization needed to prepare quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors . What You'll Do

• Prepare, portion, label, and organize ingredients for daily meal production 
• Assist cooks and culinary team members with food preparation and kitchen production
• Follow recipes, standardized production procedures, and portion guidelines
• Help ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready when needed
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety
• Support daily kitchen operations and jump in where needed during meal production
• Receive, unload, and verify food and supply deliveries against invoices 
• Inspect products for quality, freshness, accuracy, and proper temperatures
• Properly store food and supplies using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
• Maintain clean, organized coolers, freezers, dry storage, and stockroom areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and workplace safety standards 
• Work closely with cooks, chefs, and leadership to keep daily food production running smoothly
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

• Basic knowledge of inventory procedures (receiving, stocking, shipping)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to perform basic math and work with units of measure
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and follow directions effectively
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and food handling standards
• Valid Driver’s License required
• ServSafe® or State Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This is a highly physical role focused on receiving and organizing all incoming product. The Warehouse Clerk receives US Foods and produce deliveries, maintains par levels, and labels, dates, and rotates product throughout refrigeration and dry storage areas. The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, and moving of products—often up to 50 pounds per case—using a hand truck, along with regular cleaning and upkeep of all warehouse spaces. Candidates must be comfortable with sustained physical activity in a fast‑paced environment. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
