Assignment Duration

Schedule

3x12.0-812315, including Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge per Unit Needs for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research based on evidence, the Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for providing competent care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse takes on an expanded role, which may include responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent care to patients in the neuromusculoskeletal med-surg unit.
• Assume an expanded role which may include charge nurse duties and precepting new staff.
• Participate in committee responsibilities to improve patient care standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient care through adherence to established protocols and practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of Med-Surg experience required.
• Current New York State RN License required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• NIHSS certification required.
