Performance Management Lead

Location: Sacramento, CA Industry: Transportation / Rail and Heavy Civil Construction Area of Specialty: Performance Management / Cost Planning / Data Analysis + Variance Analysis We are looking for a Performance Management Lead to join the High-Speed Rail Program in Sacramento to lead the management and integration of the Program’s Capital Baseline. In this role, you will report to the Chief of Project Controls and work alongside leads in Cost, Schedule, and Risk to ensure our enterprise performance is robust and transparent. What You'll Bring Experience: 6+ years of project management experience specifically within the transit and mobility industry. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or Finance. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data management, cost planning, and reporting techniques, with a strong understanding of construction project phases. Preferred Tools: Experience with PowerBI, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office; PMP or MBA certifications are highly valued. Flexibility: Readiness for up to 40% travel to support program needs. What You'll Do Baseline Management: Act as the key resource for the Capital Baseline, monitoring changes on execution projects and maintaining records of scope, EAC, and schedule movements. Reporting & Insights: Develop dashboards for executive reporting and provide analytical insights on actuals versus Baseline plans. Process Optimization: Drive performance improvements by reviewing existing baseline structures and enhancing performance monitoring procedures. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with departmental and external stakeholders to elicit consistent responses to program controls requirements.
